Our dedication to applied research
In contrast to the development of technical devices, services usually cannot be developed in an isolated laboratory, but rather must involve users, customers, and “real life” from the beginning. Therefore, the SISS is strongly dedicated to applied research and development that involves application partners from the very start of a project.
The main instruments for creating and developing knowledge in the service science field are joint projects with companies, public agencies, governments, and other service providers. Together with partnering companies, the SISS may apply for public funding on a project-to-project basis. The most important funding agency is the Swiss innovation promotion agency CTI.
Cooperation with strategic partners:
The SISS offers the possibility of long-term strategic cooperation for companies and public institutions. Being aware that the successful implementation of innovative ideas often requires a longer commitment, we believe in the value of stable partnerships.
Currently, strategic partnerships exist with Swisscom (Schweiz) AG and Swissport International Ltd.
